We are running workshops during February half term for ages 5 - 10yrs on Monday - Friday and 4 - 5yrs on Saturday. 10am - 2pm : 4 hour drop-off workshops, full of exciting themes and arty projects. Please provide a nut-free lunch and drink for each workshop your child is attending.

JIM DINE'S VALENTINE EXTRAVAGANZA
Love is in the air.. we look at the work of Jim Dine, who painted big red love hearts in the Pop Art era. Design and decorate your very own Valentine Tote bag, make a stunning stained ‘glass’ window decoration, create a beautiful love heart picture frame too! Lots of drawing, painting and making.

ANIMALS IN ART!
Cats + Dogs appreciation
Lets find our furry friends in art!
Animals have been painted over the centuries and feature in many great works of art. We look at the work of Hogarth, Franz Marc, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and Van Gogh for our inspiration.
Learn to draw form the great masters, create a wonderful painting complete with a bejewelled fun golden frame. We experiment with oil pastels. Create and decorate a cat sculpture made from clay too.

Friday 16th February
POP ART PORTRAITS
Looking at the portrait by famous artists such as Van Dongen, Lichtenstein and Alice Neel, we learn to draw all the features of the face, mix skin colours, paint eyes and understand composition.
This is a slightly older class for children to really explore drawing and painting to improve their artistic skills. We will produce a series of drawings, colour studies and a painting. We will also create a head portrait in clay.
